ICAR-NBAGR, Karnal organized an online training programme on “Effective health management for enhancing work efficiency of ICAR employees” on 10th and 16th June, 2021. The training was attended by all scientific, technical, administrative and contractual staff of the Bureau. Brahma Kumari Kavita Ji, a senior Rajyoga teacher from Brahma Kumari Meditation Center, Chandigarh delivered a lecture on “Steps to overcome fear and anxiety during crisis”. She emphasized that we need to improve our spiritual quotient in order to handle stressful situations. This can be achieved if we concentrate on planning of thoughts rather than planning of materialistic things. The next resource person, Dr. Manoj Virmani deliberated on pre and post COVID care with ayurveda and gave useful tips to improve immunity. This was followed by a talk on holistic health and mindful eating by Ms. Ankita Muwal who is a Holistic Lifestyle Educator. In the final session, Dr. N Yuvaraj, IAS, Director, National Health Mission-I, Government of India, New Delhi discussed about the guidelines of health ministry on health management during COVID-19. He also addressed many queries of the participants regarding the ongoing pandemic and the roadmap of the government in view of a possible third wave. Dr BP Mishra, Director, ICAR-NBAGR emphasized that there is no substitute for vaccination in the current situation and requested all staff members to go for COVID vaccination at the earliest.
