Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – Lecture series held on 25th February, 2022 “Application of biotechnology for animal productivity enhancement”

A webinar in the series celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, was organized at ICAR-National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources, Karnal on 25^th February, 2022 through online mode. The lecture on “Application of biotechnology for animal productivity enhancement” was delivered by Dr. Subeer S. Majumdar, Distinguished Professor, National Institute of Animal Biotechnology, Hyderabad. The webinar was attended by 53 participants from various ICAR institutes, Universities and other research Institutes. Dr BP Mishra, Director, ICAR-NBAGR welcomed the Guest Speaker and all participants in the webinar. Dr Majumdar discussed about the SNP Chip development and prospects of genomic selection. He also elaborated on the novel methods of transgenesis for biomedical research and their application for the production of therapeutic proteins in livestock.
