Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – Lecture Series held on 27 October 2021-“Application of Multi -Omics in Animal Production”

A webinar in the series celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, was organized at ICAR-NBAGR on 27th October 2021 through Virtual Conferencing. The lecture on “Application of Multi -Omics in Animal Production” was delivered by Dr. James M. Reecy, Professor, Associate Vice President of Research, Department of Animal Science, College of Agriculture & Life Sciences, Iowa State University, USA. Several dignitaries, past and present Directors of ICAR Institutes, Scientists,  students and research scholars attended the webinar. Dr BP Mishra, Director, ICAR-NBAGR welcomed the Guest Speaker and all participants and emphasized the implications of the latest state of art technologies in livestock production and improvement. Dr. Reecy presented an overview of the use genomics and transcriptomics for improvement of livestock health and productivity based on his research work. The webinar was followed by discussion among the participants. Dr Reena Arora, PS coordinated the webinar.
