The 75th year of independence of our nation is widely being celebrated as the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. To commemorate the monumental occasion, ICAR is organizing various events and campaigns in thematic areas of Indian Agriculture. Joining in this celebration, ICAR-National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources organized a webinar on 27th August 2021. The lecture on “Sustainable Agriculture: Adapting to climate change” was delivered by Dr. Ramanjaneyulu G.V, Executive Director, Centre for Sustainable Agriculture, Telangana. Dr BP Mishra, Director, NBAGR welcomed the Guest Speaker and all participants and emphasized the relevance of the topic in the present scenario. The webinar was attended by the scientists, research scholars, students and technical staff of the Bureau, as well as other ICAR institutions. Dr. Ramanjaneyulu G.V deliberated upon challenges of climate change affecting agriculture and livestock and proposed several solutions to address these challenges. He gave a wholesome picture of agricultural practices in current times. He also stressed that a transition needs to brought about at all levels to mitigate these issues. The lecture was followed by discussion and Dr Reena Arora proposed a vote of thanks.
